Monday, 3 August 2009 2 comments

Before we all talking more about the SEO technique and needs to submit your blog to various search engines, it's good to know a little about our search engine. Just to understand the concept of search engine. This post, hopefully can give a little direction on what needs to do to optimize the search engine results for your blog content.

Basically, Search Engine is a website that stores all information that available on internet. Generally, they only record the slightly information, the site address, site title, article title, and a few dominant words in the site. Based on this, they segmenting the data. How it works, is to copy and paste all site page, and process it on their algorithm system.

If a visitor access the internet, and enter a few words that they looking for on the search engines, the search engine will display all information and data deemed relevant to the searchable words. Search Engine will sorted them according to the quality of data, based on their algorithm calculation. Thus, the data will be sorted to show, from the most relevant to the less relevant.

Based on this algoritm system of search engine, then many webmaster and blogger tried to find some technique to make their sites and blogs to appear on the first page of search engine results page (SERP). How ? Its to optimize all information that considered as most likely by the search engine crawl system. This is then called as SEO (Search Engine Optimization) technique. But of course, every search engine, also develop and innovated their algorithm system. And as such, SEO is never die. hehehe.

blogging
Today, there is more and more social network services available in the Internet, and makes many people began to turn away from the blog. It must be admitted, that the social network sites provide the services that for some people, looks far more interesting than the blog. Those who have business online, would see a social network site as a business opportunity much more rather than a blog can promise.

Why not, in social networking sites (such as facebook, friendster, tagged, Hi5, and others), you not only can post articles, but also send inter-profile email, chat, upload pictures and videos, share videos and images, and spread link. In short, representing almost all your online needs. Not surprisingly, many people began to focus on the social networking site, and leave their blogging activities.

So a question about the blog, seem to be raised. Why blogs are still important and necessary? For me, a few things about the blog, not replaceable. I write below, to share with you. Of course, other people will have different views. However, this paper, may still be useful as a benchmark.

1. Writing intensity
Blogging is writing intensity. For me, blogging is to build a personal culture to write . This is a blog character that will not be replaced. On average, a blog built by one author only. One of the things that distinguish it with the web site. On social network sites you might also have the opportunity to write. However, your concentration will be divided between writing, chatting and other activities.

2. Construction of Learning
Blogging is a constructive learning process. Since the beginning of creating a blog, you are indeed creating a curriculum of your own blogging lesson. You will set goals for your own learning instructional . Choosing a blog focus, selecting the right keywords, groove article, select campaign way, and so forth. The things that you will not find in your activities in the social network site.

3. Personal style
Blogging allows you to develop your personal style. Not only the language style in your article, but also the style of your blog. You will plan, how your blog such as will be seen by visitors. Which Template you want. Which Widget you will install on your blog. So your blog becomes a character itself, a unique and special.

4. Freedom of expression
Your blog is your free space. You may even choose to display the content forbidden. Of course, if you are ready to dibanned by search engines, and ready to lose visitors, hehehe. But essentially, you are free to determine the focus and theme of your blog. Even free to choose without focus. You are free to mix all areas of knowledge in your blog. Happy browsing, than haha!

5. Intensity Discussion
Blogging allows you to discuss with your visitor intense. You can drag a topic to discuss and mutually comented. Of course, this is the case you can do with the visitors who also have a blog.

After all, if you can get a lot of added value, why should leave Blogging? But it also does not mean that the social network site does not provide benefits. But in the different characters.

In their latest incarnation, blogs represent an alternative to mainstream media publications. The personal perspectives presented on blogs often lead to discourse between bloggers, and many blog circles generate a strong sense of community.Although online journals have been around longer than the term blog they gained momentum with the introduction of services that allow users to publish blogs easily, without needing to code HTML.

Today, thousands of people use services including Blogger and Moveable Type to simplify, automate, and accelerate the online publishing process. Blogs are showing up in venues ranging from entertainment and commerce to news and politics. Many blogs are the musings ofa single author; others focus on a particular topic and feature the voices of several authors. There are group blogs, family blogs, community blogs, and corporate blogs. WarBlogs (a product of the Iraq war), LibLogs (library blogs), and EduBlogs targeting education) are just some of the emerging types of blogs.
